This course aims to provide an overview of the management of different financial aspects of health projects. At the beginning, there will be an introduction to accounting and financial reporting, and the analysis of financial statements. Next, we will explore how information about resources needed in an organization’s business processes can be used to plan, evaluate, and manage its financial viability and success, and how the attractiveness of financing projects and businesses can be assessed. Participants will be finally introduced to methods commonly applied in healthcare settings to evaluate if innovations, like new drugs, medical devices, or services, provide value for money.
